Summer Holiday Juggle

The Juggle is Real and So Is the Power of a Pause!


I’ve noticed a theme in conversations and posts lately, mostly from other women juggling it all.

Summer holidays, work, kids, life admin, emotional load.


It’s a lot.


Let's be honest, too...sometimes it can feel relentless.


There’s the obvious stress (that “How the 'F'ck am I meant to do everything?” moments)


Then there’s the stuff we sometimes don't talk about... the resentment, the guilt, the tension that's building in the background that is about to detonate


I’ve been pouring loads of love into the mindfulness section of my new membership this weekend, and as I’ve been writing, I have had these moments in mind.


I have also been reminded of the tools I used to lean on… and definitely some I wish I’d known sooner.


A reminder also for you that mindfulness doesn’t need to mean half an hour in silence with no thoughts and perfect posture.


.... It can be a single present sip of tea with a deep inhale.


.... A conscious breath while you’re waiting for the kettle to boil.


.... 5 minutes in the car on the way back from the supermarket before you go back inside.


.... A quick mindfulness exercise on the loo, in the shower or bath.


These tiny pauses matter as well as other methods you can use, because they allow the stress of the day to move through you, instead of getting trapped in your system and triggering some of the more 'undesirable' responses we all know too well.


And then there’s Reiki, of course, a practice that’s deeply healing, yes, but also beautifully mindful.


You can use it intentionally in a full session, or even just bring its energy into those same micro-moments.
